FOR SALE

1977/2004 Grand Banks 32

SNOWBIRD is a classic Grand Banks 32 fiberglass trawler yacht that draws “thumbs-up” approval everyhere. She was professionally renovated in 2001-2004 with a new 139 hp American Diesel engine (the final non-turbocharged version of the reliable 6-cylinder 120 hp Ford Lehman), fiberglass decks and flybridge sole, new fuel and water tanks and associated plumbing. The hull, topsides, exterior teak trim and railings were finished with Awlgrip.

Her current owners, a national sailing and boating writer, 85, and his artist/author wife, have continued to upgrade the boat with beautiful new interior cushions and paint throughout, new Awlgrip paint on the house and flybridge, new flybridge canvas and refinished exterior teak They have cruised her happily in Florida and the ICW and around Chesapeake Bay. Extensive history is available and an insurance survey in October 2025 showed her to be in very good condition.

SNOWBIRD is featured in Kathy Bennett Dove’s book, “A View Askew along the Intracoastal Waterway” (print version from Barnes & Noble, e-book on Amazon) as well as in several boating magazine articles.
