My interest in history includes the stories of my own family. Names of interest in my direct lineage include Dove, Lewis, Stampley, Dunbar and Shirley, all from Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia (although branches are all over the United States). 

The Dove line originates in England, Lewis in Wales, Stampley in Switzerland, and Dunbar in Scotland. The Shirley famiy is probably from England, but I have no information beyond my great-grandmother, Mary Shirley, who was in South Carolina. I have data on the other lines going back to early colonial times and even to Europe, but would especially like to know more about the Shirley line.
